The doctoral student is appointed for a two-year period.
The Research Evaluation Advisory Committee (REAC) is an advisory committee to the the Icelandic Agency for Quality Assurance (IAQA).
REAC is chaired by an IAQA Board member, and each university is represented by one member. Also included in REAC’s membership are a representative of the Science and Innovation Council, a representative of the Quality Forum, a doctoral student nominated by LÍS and a postdoctoral researcher.
The main responsibilities of REAC are to support the evaluation of research management, the development of research information and the development of research assessment within the Icelandic Quality Enhancement Framework (QEF) while ensuring continued focus on enhancing students’ learning experience.
Meetings are held quarterly over the course of the year.
