Open Call For a Student Representative for the IAQA Board

The National Union of Icelandic Students and the Icelandic Agency for Quality Assurance are seeking an international student representative to sit on the IAQA Board.

The National Union of Icelandic Students (LÍS) and the Icelandic Agency for Quality Assurance (IAQA) are seeking an international student representative to sit on the IAQA Board. This is a paid position. 
- Meetings are held 4 times over the course of one year and the meetings take place in Iceland. Each meeting takes place over the course of 2 days with free space in the schedule. Travel expenses for meetings are covered by IAQA.  
- This position provides exciting opportunities for engaging with both the diverse higher education community in Iceland as well as the stimulating environment of the international membership of the Board itself. 
- The Board is comprised of a Chair, a Vice-Chair and four members. Meetings are held about four times a year. The Board is responsible for designing and implementing the Quality Enhancement Framework and for developing associated policies and activities. Board members are appointed for six years, with the exception of the student representative who is appointed for two years. More info can be found on IAQA’s website. 


Requirements:
- Applicant must be a current undergraduate or postgraduate student or recently graduated (in the
past 2 years or less)
- Experience of the Higher Education System
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
