We are delighted to announce that Gaga Gvenetadze, a PhD student in Applied Social Psychology at the Tbilisi State University, has joined the IAQA Board as a student member from February 2025. He was nominated to join the Board by the National Union of Icelandic Students (LÍS) after an international call for applications. With MA-degrees in Education Administration and Global Governance and work experience across multiple European higher education frameworks, Gaga has notable experience in education policy, quality assurance, and institutional development. As a member of the Georgian Authorization Council of Higher Education Institutions, he has contributed to accreditation processes and policy development. His past roles include serving as a QA Coordinator at Georgia’s National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE) and engaging in EU-level policy initiatives through the European Students’ Union (ESU). The IAQA Board and staff look forward to working with him during the next two years.
